Founded in 1994 as a small service operation focused on the inland marine market, Devall Diesel Services today is a subsidiary of Southern Devall. In this part of the workboat businesses, relationships traditionally run deep and long, and Devall’s long-standing relationship with Cummins is a central plank to both its diesel service business, as well as in running the parent company’s fleet of more than 70 inland towboats, 90% of which are powered by Cummins. David Devall discusses the family business history and evolution, as well as the importance of the relationship with Cummins, with Maritime Reporter TV in New Orleans.
