IMO Secretary-General Addresses MEPC Meeting

The IMO issued a summarized the address made by IMO Secretary-General William O'Neil at the commencement of the 49th session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC). He discussed issues to be considered during deliberations on the European proposal to advance the phase-out date for single-hull oil tankers and efforts to finalize the draft convention on ballast water management.
