Port of Houston Increases Security Spending

The Port of Houston Authority will reportedly spend $1.1 million more on security improvements that include cameras, lights and fences, according to a report in the Houston Chronicle. Additionally, the port commission authorized going out for proposals for a $1.5 million video surveillance system. That system will provide perimeter intrusion detection. (Source: Houston Chronicle)
